12 Week Goal to 2009!

Did you know that in just 12 weeks it will be 2009? I want to invite you all do something a little different… think out of the box with me just for a while.    

I have heard it said that the average American can gain 10 pounds of fat between Thanksgiving and New Years! That’s why, every year, those same people are flocking to the gym every January trying desperately to lose the holiday weight they put on.

The fall launches everybody into a busy time of year. School activities with your kids can take up time, holiday parties abound, life can become challenging to say the least. No wonder we get into bad habits of overeating and skipping workouts. Please don’t let this be you.

What if, this year…  in 2008, instead of becoming that unsightly statistic, you set a 12-week goal starting TODAY! Why not feel your very best when 2009 comes around? You’ll feel so great and so glad that you planned ahead!

I want to make a BOLD request of you. Take me up on my 12-week challenge. Write down your goal for January 1, 2009 RIGHT NOW.

It doesn’t have to be about losing weight. It could be about improving your eating habits, such as making sure you have included enough vegetables on a daily basis or unloading all the junk food in your house. You could set fitness goals… cardio or strength training a set amount of times per week, or maybe being able to do a certain number of push-ups. Perhaps you  have one of those “unfinished projects” you would like to take care of once and for all.

Whatever your goal… write it down, or better yet, post it on this blog… we will all hold each other accountable!!! You CAN make a CHANGE!
