Eating Healthy… No Results?

Filed Under Nutrition · Tagged:

I have just one quick tip for you today but I think it’s a major step. If you
are of the mindset “…but I eat healthy” and are not losing the fat you want,
read this.

The only question is, are you ready, and I mean really ready to finally break
through to the success you want and deserve?

The fastest way to lose the weight is to know what caused your weight gain
in the first place. Once you know the cause, you’ll get to the solution. It’s that
simple.

If you aren’t willing to really journal truthfully what you consume, you will
never learn what is causing the weight gain. How do you know if you have
over consumed? How do you know exactly how much to consume? At the
end of the week without any results, how do you know what to change?

This is a major problem with just “winging” what you eat and not having a
specific thought out plan with specific and measurable daily goals.

Here’s my tip:

Log on to http://www.fitday.com/
All you need is a password and a log-in name. It is absolutely free. Make
this tool your best friend. JOURNAL your food here. Find a time of day
every day and do it.  Nothing could be simpler and it is the best education
you will ever have about your own personal consumption of food.

Be honest, know the amounts of food you eat. I’ll never forget how shocked
I was to learn that the cup of raw almonds I easily snarfed down over the
course of a day (“but I eat healthy”) was 821 calories and 71.9 grams of fat.
True, it is mostly the good kind of fat, but you can overdo “good”. That was
a good lesson for me in portion control.

Best of all, Fitday does all the math
for you. All you have to do is enter the food and the amount you ate, and it
breaks it down for you.  Surprisingly many people are not willing to take the
time to journal their food intake, but those same people are frustrated with
their weight.

How hard a change is journaling your food on Fitday to finally
break through to the success you are looking for? Get focused.
Educate yourself. Then make it happen.

If you still need a little help getting there why not give coaching a try?

Be well,
Lauren
